Introducing Cisco IOS Service Diagnostics

Cisco IOS Service Diagnostics is an embedded feature that enables customers, partners and Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) engineers to diagnose software and network neighborhood issues on Cisco platforms, and minimizes troubleshooting time. It provides infrastructure to facilitate the deployment of customized diagnostics functionality and a set of scripts addressing specific diagnostics scenarios.  It automates some of the vast troubleshooting expertise of Cisco engineers starting with the Border Gateway Protocol (BGP), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Quality of Service (QoS) areas. The goal is to provide users with the capability to easily perform common troubleshooting activities and receive diagnostic information pinpointing problems, while decreasing the need for users to write their own scripts or EEM policies.

Availability
Cisco IOS Service Diagnostics scripts for BGP, OSPF and QoS have been added to Cisco Beyond under the Diagnostics section: www.cisco.com/go/ciscobeyond
