Cisco Support Wiki
Have you seen or collaborated on the new Cisco Support Wiki? The Cisco Support Wiki is an initiative within Cisco’s Technical Support Website team that leverages customer and partner contributions. This method of collaboration helps create a scalable and timely environment for building greater customer intimacy, community and interactive technical support. The Cisco Support Wiki enables dynamic collaboration and co-creation of web content that can be joined with Cisco documentation to form a more robust and diverse Cisco information bank. This provides a collaborative platform for customers as well as partners to discuss Cisco products, services, solutions and day-to-day operational issues in real time. In addition to that, the Wiki also:
- Lets users easily search a robust collection of award-winning Cisco technical support documentation, tools and resources combined with dynamically generated articles contributed by users.
- Produces a scalable system that integrates Cisco, partner and customer postings to develop the next generation of Cisco documentation through co-creation of content.
- Gives insight to Cisco and partners on customer interests and concerns.
- Builds a unique Cisco community whereby all users share their own proven methodologies with contributions from others to create innovative new best practices.
- Further empowers users to get technical assistance through collaboration with Cisco and their peers, lowering the number of service requests submitted.
- Demonstrates Cisco’s commitment to extending the Human Network.
The Cisco Support Wiki is open to anyone to view content. In order to add or modify content, you must register at Cisco.com. Joe,
This is a great site…please keep up the AWESOME work. I was wondering if you know when this site is going to go “real” release? I do a lot of advanced security work, and i noticed there isnt much under MARS or NACA…i was hoping cisco is going to dump their TAC stuff etc into here so we can quickly find resolutions?
Thanks
Shaun

Hi Shaun, it’s funny you mention MARS and NAC because those are the two products/technologies that drove me to create this page yet your correct I rarely post anything related to them. I will do a better job going forward to mix in more posts related to those technologies and one thing I have always been big on is helping others and what better place than this to get people to help other people. With that said if you have some tips, tricks, tech updates, gottcha’s or anything that you (or any of you) feel would benefit others please pass it along and I will post it up with all credit due the person whom sent it in.

This site seems really useful. There’s lots of great information. I also found some great resources for Cisco training, certification, and general programming and network technology updates at this site: https://cisco.hosted.jivesoftware.com/index.jspa?ciscoHome=true. It’s a great learning community.

I think they mentioned they would try and have most of it moved over before the first of the year, however that date may change between now and then
