Performance Monitor 3.2
Cisco announces the availability of Performance Monitor 3.2. Performance Monitor is a companion application included with Cisco Security Manager that provides device health and performance monitoring features. Performance Monitor 3.2 is primarily a maintenance release with bug fixes, however, includes the following new features as well:
- Compatible with Cisco Security Manager 3.2 and the corresponding Common Services 3.1 release.
- Adds support for ASA software release 8.0, ASA 5580-20, and ASA 5580-40.
- Custom HTTPS Port Number for Firewall Devices—Both HTTPS and SSL VPN use port 443 by default. Therefore, to enable both HTTPS and SSL VPN on the same interface of a security appliance, you must specify a different port number for either HTTPS or WebVPN. Performance Monitor 3.2 enables you to configure an HTTPS port number other than the default value when you manually import devices. See the User Guide for Cisco Performance Monitor 3.2 for more information.
- Changing the HTTPS Polling Timeout Period—Performance Monitor stops polling all devices that are enabled for monitoring even if one device takes more than 30 seconds to return results. In such cases, you can set the polling timeout period by changing the “Polling.CLIQuery.Timeout” value (in seconds) in the device.properties file located in the NMSROOT\mcp\conf\devices directory, where NMSROOT is the directory in which you installed.
