64-bit Client Support

I get a lot of questions asking whether or not the Cisco IPSec VPN Client software supports 64-bit Operating Systems. The unfortunate answer is that 64-bit support is not available or planned for the original Cisco VPN Client nor is it available or planned for the original Cisco SSL VPN Client. 64-bit support VPN Client support requires use of the Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client which supports XP & Vista x64 platforms. Ths Cisco AnyConnect VPN Client is available for both the ASA and IOS however no support is available for the EOSed VPN 3K or PIX product families.

Also if you are wanting to know which Operating Systems the IPSec VPN Client software operates on, please reference the VPN Client Support Matrix (CCO Login Required). This matrix covers MS Windows, Linux, Apple and Sun platforms.
